Frontal level

If first, second, and third classes identify dental-skeletal problems on the sagittal level, alterations may also occur on the frontal level.

When the upper teeth close inside the lower ones on one or both sides of the mouth, it is possible to talk about cross bite.
This clinical scenario is almost always associated with an alteration on a sagittal level as well.

It is good to remember that dental malacrophy develops on the three level of space and the description of these levels provides a combination of sagittality, transversality and verticality.
