An orthodontic-surgical treatment was initially proposed to the 23-year-old patient. Careful programming of the case and possible dental compensations allowed for purely orthodontic treatment, lasting about 24 months, with only fixed equipment.

Some orthodontic cases require orthodontic surgery, surgery that involves correction of skeletal bases, jaw and upper maxillary. However, the patient does not always choose or does not desire to undergo a surgical approach, whether for reasons related to general health, whether for fear or for economic reasons. With careful planning, it is possible, in specific and selected cases, to propose an orthodontic solution(only with a use of a device) even when the first choice would be surgery.
