The patient, 9 years old, was subject to functional orthodontic therapy with the aim of normalizing the function of the lower lip,
which tended to slip behind the upper incisors by pushing the teeth forward and the jaw backward.
The change in the lip position was sufficient, in 10 months, to induce mandibular advancement and profile improvement.
